Update: Princess Beatrice’s Crazy Royal Hat Passes $80,000 Mark On eBay
With just a couple days of bidding left, the whimsical hat Princess Beatrice wore to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding has surpassed $81,000 on eBay.
Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie made waves when they showed up at the royal wedding sporting flamboyant hats.
The princess decided to auction off the pink hat by British designer Philip Treacy for UNICEF and for Children in Crisis.
At the end of the day and after 95 million votes had rolled in -– the highest tally at this point in the competition in any season -– only two contestants could move on to the finale to vie for the "American Idol" crown. Sadly –- very sadly -- Haley Reinhart will not be one of them.
"This is the biggest platform any girl -- anybody -- can ask for," Haley said after learning that Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina would move on to the final stage without her. "And I rocked it out and I had a blast. And this is only the beginning. Thank you all so very much."
When Ryan Seacrest invited Haley to rock it out again one last time, she did, singing the song that turned the tide that had appeared destined to sweep her from the competition much earlier: Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets."
If that wasn't the song that made Steven Tyler utter the memorable words "You … sing … sexy" (who can remember?), it might have prompted him to say them this time around. Haley smashed it the way we've grown used to seeing her do these last few weeks, hitting the words "stick around" with particular emphasis.
She made what has now become the requisite visit to the judges' table, singing to each and every one, incorporating their names into the song, and then moved into the audience to sing to the many "Idol" Top 13 contestants she'd managed to outlast.
Then she turned to us, the viewers who had kept her around far longer than her detractors -– and probably many of her fans -– would ever have predicted. "This ain't the end of this thing," she growled. "See you later."
Then she hugged her folks -– her mom and her guitar-shredding dad, who, just the night before, she'd given the dream of playing before the TV-watching masses. And Ryan swung our attention back to the two kids still standing in this competition.
Scotty and Lauren, those wholesome country kids, who had been thrown together several times to sing duets, their voices blending beautifully, would be duking it out on the final performance show in what would be "the youngest match-up in "Idol" history."

Schwarzenegger Puts Movie Come Back On Hold
Will he be back?
Don't expect a speedy return to the silver screen for Arnold Schwarzenegger. Days after his shocking split with Maria Shriver and the news of his alleged love-child going public, the former governor's lawyer tells says his professional life will have to wait.
"At the request of Arnold Schwarzenegger we asked Creative Artists Agency to inform all his motion picture projects currently underway or being negotiated to stop planning until further notice," he says.
"Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes Cry Macho, The Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides."
Schwarzenegger's alleged affair with former housekeeper Mildred "Patty" Baena -- and the son he'd kept secret from his family -- "[were] humiliating" news to his now-estranged wife, 55, says a friend. On Tuesday, Schwarzenegger, 63, released a statement saying he was "really sorry."
"I fully deserve these feelings of anger and disappointment of friends and family. I have no excuse and I take full responsibility," he lamented. "I ask that the media to respect my wife and children in this extremely difficult period. I deserve your attention and criticism, but my family does not deserve this."
Schwarzenegger and Shriver wed in 1986 and have four children together: Katherine (21), Christina (19), Patrick (17) and Christopher (13).

Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘Took Care’ Of Baby Mama
Arnold Schwarzenegger took very good care of the mother of his illegitimate child. He even volunteered to pay for Mildred “Patty” Baena’s niece’s lavish 15th birthday party. A source close to Baena says that the former California governor and his wife, Maria Shriver, also employed Baena’s sister Mirian as a housekeeper.
When Mirian’s daughter celebrated her Quinceanera – a celebration akin to a sweet sixteen – in 2001, Schwarzenegger fronted the bill for everything from the venue, decorations and food to entertainment, and even limo service. His entire family, legitimate and otherwise, attended the event.
Guests said they thought it was “weird” that a boss was so generous, but he explained it away in a speech, saying that he wanted to “take care” of the family he had known for so many years.
Schwarzenegger also reportedly showered Baena with gifts regularly, and her neighbors claim he helped her buy her extravagant four-bedroom home complete with swimming pool and basketball court.
Baena reportedly took an interest in Shriver that bordered on obsession; she would allegedly “borrow” Shriver’s clothing and jewelry and flaunt them on nights out. She also confided in Shriver, asking for advice on love and pregnancy.
When Shriver left home in the mornings or went out of town, her trysts with Schwarzenegger would reportedly take place in the bed he shared with his wife.

Arnold's Mistress and Love Child: New Details Emerge
Where is Mildred "Patty" Baena?
The housekeeper and assistant for Arnold Scwharzenegger and Maria Shriver's family retired after 20 years earlier this year-- and became a household name on Wednesday, when multiple outlets identified her as the mother of Schwarzenegger's illegitimate son, said to be 13 years old.
Reporters quickly descended upon Baena's home in suburban Bakersfield, Calif.; unsurprisingly, the alleged mistress, 50, and her son were nowhere to be found. The Associated Press says that Baena purchased the Bakersfield house a year ago -- and that Schwarzenegger was assisting with the down payment on the $268,000 property.
Neighbors told the Associated Press that Baena's 13-year-old son was a polite boy frequently seen walking his white poodle, Sugar, swimming in his backyard pool, and playing basketball.
His mom, however was more scarce: Prior to her retirement 2 1/2 months ago, neighbors said Baena spent most of her time working for the Schwarzenegger-Shriver brood 100 miles away, keeping an L.A. apartment near their Brentwood estate.
Regardless, Baena and family were friendly and took tidy care of their home.
Baena's MySpace page features a photo of her son -- which bears a strong resemblance to the actor-politician. "I would see the resemblance," neighbor Marilyn Steelman said.
Also scrutinized: the birth certificate for Baena's son, who was born the same week as Christopher Schwarzenegger, the star couple's youngest. Baena's ex-husband is listed as the father, and Baena's birthplace was Guatemala.
When she purchased the house, Baena was listed as "single" on the deed, but neighbors noted that a man who they presumed to be her husband also lived with them.
How is the former Terminator doing?
"It's been very, very hard for him," one source close to the former governor told the Associated Press. "He's embarrassed. He's not focused on what steps he needs to take for himself, but the steps he needs to take for his family."
In addition to young Christopher, Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four kids: Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, and Patrick, 17.
