A class action lawsuit is being filed against Carnival Cruise Lines for its recent disabled ship fiasco. Thousands of passengers had to endure days of no power and few working toilets on the crippled Triumph cruise ship as it limped to port in Mobile, Alabama.

The law firm filing the suit says cruise lines are responsible for the safety of everyone on board, and that includes making sure illness doesn't spread. It alleges that the cruise line's decision to keep passengers on board prolonged their exposure to disease, accidents and trauma.

Carnival has already attempted to make amends to the passengers. It offered them a refund of their expenses, a future cruise, and 500 dollars per person. There's no word on how much the class action lawsuit is seeking.
