Tragedy was averted at a New York City subway today after a heroic stranger rescued a one-year-old who was swept onto the tracks of an oncoming train by a gust of wind.
The mystery rescuer jumped onto the elevated tracks and scooped up the boy, who was in his stroller, seconds before a train pulled into the station.
The incident unfolded at 12.45pm on Tuesday at the Van Siclen Ave station in Brooklyn.
