Blake Shelton is engaged in a Twitter war with Houston Chronicle music critic Joey Guerra, who Tweeted: "The Voice sends one singer back to Texas. Don't worry, it's not the one we care about."
Blake responded: "Hey Joey Guerra.. I wonder if the state of Texas is proud of the kind of s**t you write about a young Texan like (Holly Tucker)? I doubt it... It's people like you Joey Guerra that make me sick... Holly is not only a talented singer but a great person that's simply chasing a dream... How about you grow some b**ls and come tell me to my face how terrible some of these kids are face to face...? You won't. Ever... You are a chicken s**t. I can't stand a person that makes a point to write hurtful things about kids just trying their best... How much do y'all wanna bet he'd never criticize my team Or me like that face to face.... Chicken s**t..."

The 2013 CMT Awards were handed out in downtown Nashville last night and the show kicked off with a great video of Jason Aldean being in therapy over how to host an award show the right way. The video featured cameos from Blake Shelton, Vince Vaughn, Reba, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Dr. Drew, Loraine Bracco and Kelsey Grammer all telling him what to do. The night seemed to belong to Florida Georgia Line and Miranda Lambert who both took home two awards. George Strait's 91-year-old father John Byron Strait passed away yesterday after a month of hospitalization. Strait wrote on his website, "We are grateful for the time over the last few weeks we were able to spend with Daddy before he passed away. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time as we mourn our family’s loss." John was a junior high school mathematics teacher, as well as a rancher on his property outside of Big Wells, Texas. The family worked at the ranch on the weekends and in the summers. The funeral service will be private, reserved for friends and family only, with donations requested in lieu of gifts to The Jenifer Strait Memorial Foundation.
Taylor Swift looked as if a dream had come true when she got to duet with Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones live on stage.
The 23-year-old sang a stripped down version of ‘As Tears Go By’ at a gig held at Chicago’s United Centre last night.
She dressed to impress for the special moment, showing off her long legs in a very short playsuit with sheer lace sleeves.
The starlet didn’t let any nerves affect her performance as she confidently strutted on the stage and sang hand-in-hand with the rocker.
She and Mick seemed to have hit it off, with Taylor sharing a candid snap of the pair on Twitter.
Taylor casually draped her arm around Mick’s neck and tweeted: ‘Filing this under “friends forever.”’
Ahead of the performance, the rocker shared his excitement on Twitter. He wrote: ‘Looking forward to singing with @tayorswift13 tonight! Wonder which song we will do?’
Taylor’s performance was part of the finale of a three-night show on the Chicago stop of their 50 & Counting Tour which celebrates the band’s 50th anniversary.
Other special guest stars performing on the band’s tour have included Sheryl Crow, Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani.
The group are reportedly trying to secure Adele for their show in London’s Hyde Park next month.
The Sun reports that the band are ‘quietly confident’ that the singer will head their line-up of top female stars including Lady Gaga, Paloma Faith and Florence Welch.
The group will also perform in the UK later this month, when they will headline at Glastonbury on June 29 before performing in Hyde Park on July 6 and July 13.
