As expected, Barbara Walters returned to The View yesterday. “After a lot of scratching and rest, I am fine and I am healthy,” said the 83-year-old, who lifted her bangs to show the audience a chicken pox bump and a tiny scar from her fall, for which she was hospitalized back in January. Barbara said she had chicken pox at the time of her hospitalization, which she didn’t realize, and likely got it from hugging an actor, “who shall be nameless,” she said. Turns out, the actor had shingles. "If you have never had chickenpox" — and Walters never had — "you can get it from someone with shingles," she explained. Walters said she spent her time off resting and watching The View, adding, “I was able to scream and yell at you on the screen every day.”
