Eric Church’s newly-opened bar, Chief’s on Broadway, referenced Morgan Wallen’s arrest after allegedly throwing a chair from the six-story rooftop. A photo posted to the establishment’s Instagram account on Tuesday morning (April 9) reads: “Our pigs fly. Our chairs don’t. Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog Rooftop BBQ.” See the photo here.

Wallen was arrested and faces felony charges after the incident that happened shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday night (April 7). Two Metro Nashville Police department officers were standing in front of Chief’s when the chair fell from above them and landed about three feet away from them. Bar staff and other witnesses reportedly observed the country artist “lunging and throwing an object over the roof,” and saw him “pick up the chair, throw it over him, laughing afterward.”

Officers also reviewed security camera footage, which apparently confirmed Wallen threw the chair, per an arrest affidavit. TMZ has since shared footage that appears to show the chair falling from the rooftop bar. Wallen was booked into the jail and released hours later. He “is cooperating fully with authorities,” his attorney said in a statement. Wallen is accused of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. The Davidson County Criminal Court shows he is scheduled to appear in court on May 3.
