West Wing

Ms. Kassube deserves this award because she does so much for her students that goes above just being a teacher. She makes all of us feel like family. She demands respect from her classroom, but also gives it back. She makes going to class a lot of fun. She is very interactive and creative with her teaching so that we sometimes don’t realize that we are learning in the process. She is at school well before school starts and takes her job home even after school is over. She really goes above and beyond just being a teacher. She has pushed me to exceed what I ever thought I was capable of. She believes in me. I have developed a really special friendship with Ms. Kassube because of her personalized attention that she not only gives to me, but also to my classmates. I know that teachers don’t get paid very much, but I really think that she should be recognized and rewarded for her commitment to West Wing and to me. She is one of those teachers that I will never ever forget. She will have an impact on me the rest of my life. I have so much more confidence in reading and am even in her advanced Language Arts class getting an A. I never would have challenged myself to take an advanced class, but I don’t see now how I ever wouldn’t in the future thanks to Ms. Kassube. I really, really hope you will pick her for this award. In addition to working full-time as my teacher, she also leads the 7th grade team and works at a movie theater as a manager so she can support her family. She has asked for new desks in her classroom. I bet she’ll use the money toward her classroom because that is the type of person she is. She is always thinking about everyone but herself. PLEASE pick Ms. Kassube. She's the best!
