Mrs. Goins is a first year Sixth grade Special Education teacher, although you could never tell. She is always at school. I know she is here daily until around 5:30 or 6:00 pm working on student Individual Education Plans and goals for all her special needs students. She often skips her lunch and makes phone calls home to parents. I have seen her teach a classroom full of students(with learning disabilities) then quickly move to another class to tutor another child. She goes out of her way to always accommodate not only the students but the other teachers around her.I have worked as an assistant aide for many years, and I have never been more proud of where I work today. She is selfless, and it makes my heart sing to know that teachers like her still exist. If you would please nominate Lindsay Goins as KNIX Fulton Homes Teacher of the week, I am sure she would use the money for supplies for her classroom. I believe she is worthy beyond words of this recognition. I am very excited for our students to see her in this shining light, they way I do. She is truly exceptional.
