Mr. Hanson should be KNIX and Fulton Homes "Teacher of the Week" for many reasons. Mr. Hanson cares so much for each student. He's not just there to be a teacher, he is there to teach, lend an ear, care and he truly is the best teacher I have ever had. Bullying still goes on even in high school, but Mr. Hanson sticks up and holds very high standards for special needs student. He treats them with the ultimate respect and makes sure they feel special in their own way. He will answer any question no matter how many times someone has asked it before. He never gets mad, never makes anyone feel less, he strives to make each student have high self-esteem, and makes them feel important. I have had a few bad days. Mr. Hanson is the type of teacher who can sense that and always makes a point of asking,"What is wrong?" or how he can help. He is patient, never rushes you, and I believe he got into teaching to help students with not only their education but their issues as well. This makes make him even more special. Mr. Hanson is a huge asset to Williams Field High School, and he should be honored for his teaching skills, his professionalism and his true care for everyone!
