Mrs. Bonagofski gives over 110% every single day at MPHS. Kim Bonagofski, or Bona to her students, teaches basic and upper level drama classes as well as Stage Craft and Film Studies classes. Not only does Bona direct theatre productions, but also manages Mountain Pointe's auditorium and all the events that take place in it, such as Choir Concerts, Dance Shows, and assemblies.She is constantly working to better her department and the rest of the school. Bona uses her experience in the theatre industry to prepare all of her students for the real world. Unlike other teachers, Bona still works in professional theatres so she is able to give up to date advice. Bonagofski introduced her school to the International Thespian Society and CTE (Career Technical Education) to further her students experience. Bona is a wife and a mother of two, yet still finds time to be a mother figure to her +150 students, as well as every single person who steps into her department. In addition to that, Mrs. Bonagofski serves on the Arizona State Board for the International Thespian Society.Without Mrs.Bona, Mountain Pointe would not be the only school in Arizona with a LED Light lab and students who actually know how to use it. Last year, Mrs. Bona directed the hit musical HAIRSPRAY! which had a cast of over 60 students. Through this show she united the school by involving students and teachers from all over campus! Thanks to all of Mrs. Bona's constant support, I am ready to enter the world as a trained technician and a better person.
