Mountain Pointe High School

In the three years that I have been attending Mountain Pointe High School, I have never encountered a teacher quite like Patti Duncan. To say that she is the best teacher I have ever had is an understatement. Patti has a sense of teaching that no other teacher could ever come close to acquiring. She has a chemistry with her students that is overwhelming upon first meeting her. Patti does such an excellent job at what she does, whether it is helping students put together an entire yearbook or teaching Advanced Composition to her seniors. No matter what it is, Patti has it under control and that is why I think Patti deserves to be KNIX & Fulton Homes Teacher of the Week. This is not some cheesy essay to tell you how wonderful Patti is and to say how much she has helped me grow. It is to explain, in detail, what Patti does and for what reasons she does it. She has a passion for teaching, even if her students can be a rather large pain in the neck. She loves each and every one of her staff members and cares deeply about every little thing she does. Patti deserves this award more than any teacher I know. She gives up a large chunk of her life to teach her students and to do that, one must be dedicated, fully committed to anything that comes their way. Patti is more than dedicated, more than committed, and that dedication and commitment should earn her this award. To say the least, Mountain Pointe High School would be a completely different place without Ms. Patti Duncan.
