Tyler Heel is an exceptional teacher. Mr. Heel runs a strict but fun classroom. He sets the kids up to succeed. My son came from another school and hated school. He thought he was dumb and begging and cried on a daily basis to be anywhere but school. Mr. Heel inspired him with goals he could reach and my son started to believe he WAS smart and could do well in school. My son reached every accelerated reading goal for the first time and was on the principal's list twice and high honors twice. Jump ahead to July 25th, the beginning of his 4th grade year. My son was paralyzed with fear when he started 3rd grade but entering 4th grade - he is a different boy with a love for learning and a confidence that if he works hard he will do well. Whether you choose Mr. Heel or not - I know our community and students of the district have already won.
