Fountain Hills High School

I think it is safe to say that Mr. Sunshine is everyone's favorite teacher. Even if you never had a class with him, you would still find a way to bump into him. He is one of the best teachers I've ever had, in a lot of ways. He uses humor to make sense of topics, and will never fail to make you laugh. Sunshine definitely lives up to his name! He can brighten your day in a heartbeat. He is one of those people that you can think of not only as your teacher, but as a friend. He is there to talk whenever you need him, about anything really. This year he was the graduation speaker and he blew everyone away. A month after, he also spoke at a candlelight vigil for a student who had recently passed. And that really shows how much he cares about his students, to be there for them when they need him most. He is very well respected in, and out of school. Mr. Sunshine is very well qualified for this and it would be a great honor to him, and to all of us at Fountain Hills High. He teaches freshman honors english, sophomore english and seniors as well. I've also had a pleasure to have him as a soccer coach, and that's how I first got to know him. So he most definitely has a busy plate, and is highly involved with the schools. I used to struggle in school and Mr. Sunshine was right there along with me. He gave me a second chance, he believed in me and that was really special. He taught me to never give up, even if you're not the best, you have potential. If you work at it, you will get it. He always wanted to see me be successful, and I wish the same for him. He has given so much to us, he deserves something in return. There is so much for me to say about him, so many stories to tell and I'm praying you choose him for Teacher of the Week to show my appreciation to him.
